Advisian expands water presence in California with new office in Downtown Los Angeles

29 March 2018

Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, this new office reinforces Advisian’s ability to maintain and enhance relationships with our existing customers and partners, who are within walking distance. This move marks an important step in Advisian’s strategy to develop and strengthen our business by fostering further growth over the coming years, and leveraging our technical services on world-class groundwater remediation projects to restore local groundwater supplies for the City of Los Angeles.

In late 2015, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) selected an Owner’s Agent (OA) Team of Hazen and Sawyer, ARCADIS, and Worley Parsons/Advisian for the critical San Fernando Valley Groundwater Basin remediation program - one of the largest groundwater remediation programs in the world. Two years into the 10-year contract, Advisian has provided extensive groundwater remediation services including groundwater modeling, regulatory approvals, funding, and cost recovery support.

The new Downtown Los Angeles office will be led by a core team of Advisian personnel who have established relationships with key stakeholders as part of the SFB groundwater remediation program: Stephanie Botha (Senior Hydrogeologist), Martin Hendrie (Senior Hydrogeologist), Steve Winners (Project Manager), and Mark Trudell (Project Director).

As part of the Global Advisian Water Team, Mark is an industry-leading, certified principal hydrogeologist with over 35 years’ experience in groundwater resources management, aquifer injection, contaminated site remediation, numerical modeling, and aqueous geochemistry. Mark creates value through innovative and strategic solutions that address our clients’ water resource issues in the face of increasing competition, regulatory requirements, and physical and economic water stresses. Through Mark and his team’s unmatched depth of experience and vision to create sustainable solutions, our clients can make informed business decisions to ensure water efficiency for decades to come.

Advisian has been supporting landmark groundwater restoration projects in Southern California for more than 20 years. The new office location not only accommodates continued growth, but highlights Advisian’s continued commitment to providing the highest quality service to our customers.

The new location is on the 31st floor of the Union Bank building at: 445 S Figueroa St, Suite 3163, Los Angeles, CA 90071, USA. For more information about our new location, contact Stephanie Botha or Martin Hendrie.
