Following a major flood that occurred in February 2009, our consultants were asked by the Ipswich Rivers Improvement Trust to undertake a review the Videroni Street levee flood mitigation option.
The Ipswich River Improvement Trust (IRIT) asked Advisian to undertake a review of their mitigation options that were outlined in the Bundamba Creek Flood Mitigation Study (JWP, 2004), providing a preliminary assessment of possible flood mitigation alternatives to those in the flood mitigation study.
One of the alternatives assessed a non-structural mitigation option which focused on flood awareness and improving the understanding of existing flooding characteristics and behaviour.
