Waste stream management and minimization planning

Gas plant at dusk

Advisian supported the client’s objectives of reducing overall waste generation and to develop options for process modifications to reduce overall waste generation.

In support of our client’s Environmental Stewardship policies and goals for effective waste management practices, Advisian characterized the solid, liquid and emissions waste streams associated with construction, operation, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning of planned gas plant expansion projects and Greenfield development projects, including construction camps. The waste streams were then assessed for potential waste reduction, waste minimization, and material reuse/recycling tactics.

The results of the assessments were fed into the facility design teams for integration into the plant design. The work supported the client’s objectives of reducing overall waste generation at the facility and to develop options for process modifications to reduce overall waste generation. The potential waste streams also impacted the permitting requirements.
