Leading the due diligence for a Joint Venture Partner Investor, including benchmarking the project’s CAPEX and OPEX and auditing the Bankable Feasibility Study
Our client was looking to invest in a billion dollar pit-to-port fertiliser project and required an expert review of the numerous proposals and reports.
Advisian lead the due diligence for a Joint Venture Partner Investor in the project. This included benchmarking the project’s CAPEX and OPEX, auditing the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) and the financial model, and providing recommendation on the EPC/EPCM contracting strategy.
The review of the original BFS proposed a total of $200 million in CAPEX savings and then contributed to litigation supporting claims against the original feasibility study contractor.
The Melbourne team were one of three teams commissioned by the client in parallel. After the completion of this review Advisian/WorleyParsons were selected as the preferred Owners Engineer for the repeat of the feasibility study.
