COPA Barossa SURF

COPA Barossa SURF project

Continuous operation of the 500km gas export pipeline was critical to the overall success of the development.

The Challenge

Continuous operation of the 500km gas export pipeline was critical to the overall success of the development.

Our Approach

Bayu-Undan is a gas-condensate field located offshore in the Timor Sea within the Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA). The field is 250 kilometres south west of Suai in Timor-Leste and 500 kilometres north west of the Northern Territory in Australia.  Commissioned in 2004, the Bayu Undan subsea assets include infield pipelines, gas export pipeline, flexible risers, subsea manifolds and control systems. IntecSea was the primary contractor for the development, implementation, operation and management of the Pipeline Integrity Management System.

 Value Delivered

IntecSea developed, implemented and operated a Pipeline Integrity Management System that enabled the client to effectively and efficiently assure the integrity of the subsea pipeline systems. This included risk-based inspection programmes, base-line surveys, inspection schedules, inspection programmes, data bases, emergency repair systems, free spans, cathodic protection, etc.

As an independent company, IntecSea is able to provide objective and impartial advice, offering a range of solutions to a variety of issues. Our extensive track record in providing integrity management solutions to subsea partners facilitated the success of this project.
